quilt with footboard cutouts
Usually I'm pretty good with Google searches, but I'm struggling with this one. I'm trying to find a picture of a quilt that has cutouts for a footboard. Maybe I'm not using the correct search terms. Does anyone know where I can find such a picture?

Hmm, I know I've seen some, but did a bit of sufing and couldn't come up with a picture. The ones I'm thinking of have the bottom corners cut out, like you've left off 2 blocks, one in each corner. Maybe I'm thinking of quilts for a 4 poster bed???
ETA: I did a google image search for: quilt for 4 poster bed And came up with several images of quilts with the corners cut out. Still not sure if this is what you are after. I have a bed with a foot board and I just make the quilt shorter... |
No word combinations I can think of come up with what I assume you are looking for either.
Wouldn't you just leave a few rows unsewn on the corner and bind both sides of the slit? Wow....It sounds more logical in my head. |
I think four poster bed is the magic word combo!

I have an acquaintance who wants to commission a quilt from me, but she was concerned about the footboard on her antique bed. I wanted to show her examples of what's possible, and now I can! Paper Princess, the search terms you came up with were perfect! |
Try Quilter's Cache, quilt name Amish Dahlia. It has the cutout in the picture of the whole quilt.

Here's a thread about it here: http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...lt-t46616.html
