I had this thought that I should make a dallas cowboys piece for my mom since she loves them so much.

Next day, I go to the thrift store and there it is, like 3 yards of dallas cowboys fabric for like 2 bucks.

Nice, but she needs to go to the back of the line since I JUST made her a quilt.

A few weeks later, I'm back at the thrift store and saw a sheet that I thought would make a nice back, bought it, brought it home and yesterday unfolded it to see what? A dallas cowboys panel along the hem. It was a dallas cowboys sheet! lol.

ok ok. I GET IT. The quilt gods have a funny way of sending you messages.

That is so cool. My son in law loves Dallas Cowboys. I need to make him a quilt too. Hope I can be as lucky as you. Great finds for you.

Could you go ahead and make it while the quilt gods are smiling, then hold off in giving it until it's her turn again, or maybe for birthday or Christmas gift?

You need to work on it now and give it to her the opening day of the season.....IF there is a 2011 season!! That way, she can enjoy it every weekend while watching her ''boys''
