I'm looking for a quilt hanger. It needs to hold a finished size of 24" wide. I found a great one in Connecting Threads, but it isn't on line. Any other ideas?

decorative curtain rod?
|
I've used decorative curtain rods. They work great.
Cup hooks with a dowel also work. Just not as pretty. One quilt hanger was made by my brother who is a woodworker. |
If you click on my blog link I have a tutorial last month on making a really cute quilt hanger any size you want. The title is Quilt Hanger in less than 3 hours!

I also use a curtain rod on my wall. A really nice looking one. It was under 20.00

Always check your local thrift store!! I bought this one in the pic for $3, it holds up to a 24" wide quilt, gramabiese made the lovely quilt on it now for our Jan secret pal swap! Decorative rods are also a good idea, so many to choose from

Woolie I am also an avid bread maker ,have been for years. But you are right about the dough. It's tough but likes to be handled.Your bread looked beautiful but probably needed a little more fondling. I love making sourdough.

Woolie I think that I could make that quilt rack . I didn't know about the decorative designs. That is so cute. And I have a bunch of those knobs from a previous project. What kind of dog is Enzo? He is really cute.
|
Woolie, what a cool idea. Book marked for sure. I can do that myself. Now just to find my brothers tools Had to leave all mine in Ga. :-(
Enzo looks like my friends Baxley and Frazier, we bonded over butt scratches. They are standard poodles. It is the way he lays down. |
As soon as I get some active posts going, I can offer those up for sale as well as ladders and free standing racks. It isn't simple to do unless you have the tools, but a great idea. Three dollars is a great find. Lovely Quilt as well..
