Quilt hanger?
 

I want to buy my daughter a couple quilt hangers for both a queen size quilt of her grandmothers and for a baby quilt she wants to hang. Any suggestions? And where could I find?

I haven't bought this yet, but really would love to have one!

I love the Hang-It Dang-Its, and my customers do too. You just need one nail and they're self leveling.

I love this quilt hanger that my daughter won at a quilt show. (Unfortunately the "Manage Attachments" feature isn't agreeing with my computer. So I can't post a pic.) The hanger is wooden and has a big wood bow on the front. You can find them at most quilt shows or senior craft shows. They are not expensive and come in 3 sizes. The hanger is simple to use and uses only 1 nail to hang. You just fan fold your quilt, insert it into the hanger and hang on the wall. You can change your quilts as often as you like. And, it's cute! Sorry about the pics.

I would never hang a queensize quilt. It would be too heavy and may ruin the quilt.
There are many hangers available, check websites.

I wouldn't want to put a sleeve on a perfectly good quilt. There are little wooden "clamps" that are, I guess, screwed/nailed/whatever-ed into the wall and you clamp the quilt into each one. It would require quite a few to hold a large quilt. Just google quilt hangers and see what pops up. I think that's how I found these.

I don't think there is any problem with hanging a queen quilt or larger, as long as the quilt is well made, i.e. the stitching is strong and the quilting is close enough. I might not hang a vintage quilt, because of damage from sunlight and possible weakness in the quilt itself. Large quilts are hung at shows all the time without worry that they will be damaged.

As far as putting a sleeve on a perfectly good quilt goes, this is a requirement of most shows and does not harm the quilt. The sleeve can easily be removed (and used on another quilt) if at some future date you want to use the quilt in another way.
