Quilt Karma

When something positive happens soon after I gift a quilt I jokingly call it "quilt karma". Got any stories along these lines?

My son was stopped for speeding - he's 33 and hasn't been stopped in years, but the cost of a ticket would really be a hardship. Also had an old address on his driver's license for which he could have been ticketed. He hadn't changed it because it's so hard for him to get to the DMV because of the hours he works. (Insert drumroll here) He got a warning and the officer told him how to go online and submit an address change. I asked who the officer was ... we live in a small town .. it was a young man whose mother is battling breast cancer ... to whom I had delivered a comfort quilt the week before. I'm not sure the officer would recognize my son and our last name is very common - he is quite a bit younger and would not have been in school with him. Quilt Karma.

That is so sweet. Really neat how it all works out, huh?

there was a commercial some time ago about "karma" and someone seeing something nice being done so they in turn do something nice for someone else. it is all funny how something "simple" like a quilt will or a smile can change a persons day for the better.

I had at least 3 examples in my head when I started this, but my fingers couldn't remember but this one! When the others come back I'll share. Maybe because I so enjoy passing along my quilts that I just am noticing more the good things surrounding me.
