I am so excited to do my very first quilt label. This is for my mother in law and it is a pink ribbon quilt. I am struggling on how and what to say on my label. I want it to be very special but also want to include the things that will matter years from now.
Any suggestions? This is what I am going to use for the label |

completed *****(date) by ******* your name You could include the name of the quilt, the occasion you made it for, and any special washing instructions if any. How about a picture? Sue |
I think Susie covered everything. You may want to add a special memory you have shared with your MIL. For example, I made a quilt out of my Dad's western shirts for one of my grandsons who was so crazy about his Papa T and on the label put how I watched my GS and my Dad in the back yard one day when Dad was teaching him how to "spit". You would have to know my Dad to appreciate this, but maybe you get the idea.

OK - I am going with simple - here is what I came up with.
Now if I can only finish the back of the quilt - then quilt it! |
That will be really nice. I like that label.
