Quilt Labels
Where do y'all get your labels? Do you order them, print them yourself or ????????
I order mine from sewnsewer2 on this board. She makes beautiful labels. Her prices are very reasonable.
I make my own using EQ7 and printable fabrics.
I usually make my own, 1)printed using Bubble Jet Set or 2)embroidered with my machine.

Me, too! She is easy to work with, does wonderful labels and ships quickly. |

I make mine with Picture program....mine is obsolete or I would recommend it...but Adobe or Corel...one that lets you create your own business cards, labels, edit pictures, etc. I create mine on a postcard size or a shipping label size and then print it on Photo fabric. Here is one I just did recently.

Make our own in Photoshop on printable material.
Sewnsewer2 makes the best labels, great work and great price.
I handwrite mine on muslin with a Pigma pen, adding hearts, flowers, leaves, etc as desired. Then I handsew to the quilt with pearl embroidery thread. This is the only handstitching on my quilts.
I embroider on the quilt backing before the LAQ gets it, or the binding !
Bubble Jet Set and two labels - one with info about the quilt, the other with care instructions (how to wash, etc).
I design most of mine in EQ, then print on fabric and sew to the quilt. I'm thinking about buying EQStitch and then designing in EQ, embroidering on fabric.
If it is going to someone special, I will design it on the computer and then use embroidery machine for the label. If it is a quilt used for display in my friends LQS, I design an image on the PC, and send it to spoonflower.com and order the 5.00 swatch for a "proof".
I make my own with a card software program. I use Bible quotes, the name of the person I made the quilt for, the name of the quilt, my name, date it was finished and where I love. I also add a picture of me so in years to come people can see what I looked like!!!!
Gee, I am embarrassed, I make my own with muslin and permanent archival pens.
I bought some labels at a quilt show. They are on muslin and have colored designs with the middle left blank. I have been using those. when they are gone, I may do my own.
Why are you embarrassed? The quilt is handmade with love, why shouldn't the label be? I think whatever works for each of us to make the quilt special is fine. The important part is remembering to do the label.
I have printed on printer fabric. However, some of those have faded until they are no longer legible. The one that seems to have stood the test of time is the one I wrote/colored with permanent fabric markers. Still legible after 10 years of washings.
Depends on the quilt. I have used the colored pens, embroidered, and printed my own. There are tutes on the QB aboutthis topic.
