quilt made from layer cake

I'm in search for a cute idea on how to make a baby quilt using a layer cake. Any suggestions or pictures? Thanks for your help. Mama's colors are pale blue and greys. I just happen to have a layer cake with those colors and
thought maybe I could make it out of those.

My layer cake had a pattern included in the packaging. Sorry passed it on to friend and gave quilt away.

Thee are lots of free patterns from Fabric Manufacturer's. Just go to their website. Some online quilt stores actually have them listed on their site such as Red Rooster Quilt shop.

Missouri Star also has a tutorial called Double Slice Layer Cake Quilt. It is super fast and easy. It can be a quilt for any age or occasion depending on the layer cake used.

One easy solution is always HSTs, as you can arrange them in manymany different ways!

You might also want to check out patterns for charm packs, as you can easily cut a layer cake into 4 charms.

Have you checked Moda Bake Shop?

I made one with flannel Layercake. I sashed each square sewed them together and appliquéd animals in every other block.

As others have said Missouri Star quilt company has a bunch of ideas... her latest tuts are great.

I've made this one twice. While I cut 9" squares to make it, it could easily be made with a layer cake. My only advice would be to make the wonky 9 patch squares first, trim them down so you know what the finished size will be, then cut your alternating blocks to the same size.
