Wow, that's a hard one. In 30 years I've never seen fabric or a pattern related to curling or bocce ball or even shuffle board.

I wish you good luck on this unique endeavor. :-)

Wow! That is an unusual theme for sure. I would look up pictures of curling on the net and print some out. Then trace them to make applique patterns. I had to look for photos of an emu and a kangaroo when I was trying to make quilting stencils for my son's boomerang quilt.

I actually have some curling fabric but I can't recall where I got it (probably Walmart). But I could suggest that perhaps you could use the paper-pieced stone, add some appliqued brooms (the new style) and maybe incorporate the rings of the ice? Also, if you google coloring pages - sports - curling - you may get some possible applique ideas.

Since curling originated in Scotland, perhaps some tartan borders??

Here is the fabric I have:

I found this pic on line - was a sold item on ebay, stated it was a Cranston print, if that helps.

Or maybe an argyle quilt like this one with stones, brooms, etc appliqued on??

Good luck. I'd love to see what you come up with. I am Canadian and we are avid curling fans!!
