I made this one for my son with both grandpop's shirts. Went together very quickly :)

There are several block designs on Marcia Hohn's site (Quilt Blocks Galore) - Planned Patchhood, Mr. Roosevelt's Necktie, Raggedy Bricks, Scot's Plaid, and Grampy's Shirts would all look great with old shirts.

She shows step by step how to cut, stitch and piece a quilt using men's shirts. It's an awesome tutorial. It was found through a link on here. |
Thank you all for your suggestions. I'm in the thinking stages and this helps so much. You guys are great!

If you have a mix of dark and lights, a log cabin type block would work well.
I only had light stripes and plaids to work with after my FIL passed away, so I added civil war repros for darks. |
I've been wanting to do a log cabin quilt. This just might be the one.
Thanks so much! Sewlisa :o |
