A few days ago someone posted a picture of a quilt made with strips and then the block was cut into 4 triangles and sewed back together. Would you please tell me the name of that pattern

Was it Tradewinds?

It was a free pattern from Hoffman but now it's not free, there are also some similar patterns here that are free.

Wasn't it under tutorials? Did you post on it? Go to the header and press My Posts. You may find it that way.

Was it with strips or did it start with a 4 P?

Was it this posting for the Xcentric Block from Anita Grossman Solomon's "Rotary Cutting Revolution" book?

This was posted by oneygirl. I think her avatar is Fabric Flings. I wrote it out as it was stated there wasn't a pattern. It is 7 two inch strips sewn together vertically - need 32. The strips are 11" wide and cut into TWO triangles. Mix and sew 64 triangles together. Square to 10 1/2 X 10 1/2. Hope this helps - I'm sure someone else will jump in with help.

NOT vertically - strips in rows

This was posted on another topic:
Just call 203-743-0543 for the Fabric Fling Pattern.

Looking at this block I would not spend my money on the pattern. It is just a string quilt in limited colors, cut and sewn back together.

I think it was deleted because the author was upset over copyright laws!!!

Thanks for all the replies. I think will just make it without a pattern, Seems as though there is only one place in the whole country that sells it. My quilt guild thought it would be a good one for the quilt we donate to the Cancer Walk.

Thanks for posting the link. Full pattern for Tradewinds, but I can see where you could figure it out with out instructions if it wasn't available.
