Hi,
Could someone please explain what a "quilt pocket" is? Thanks Joyce |
Where is it located on the quilt?
A strip of fabric can be sewn along the back edge of one side of a quilt to put a curtain rod or dowel thru to hang a quilt. This method usually helps distribute the quilt's weight when it's hanging. Or I have heard of attaching a small pocket to the back of the quilt to hold a written history of the quilt especially if it's an heirloom. |
Hi Joyce, Personally, I think a quilt pocket is referring to the history; who made it, the date, made for whom, etc. I think it is an alternative to a quilt label which I have heard and read is on the back right lower corner. Any other ideas? Tx, Donna |
Is it where Mama Kangaroo keeps her quilt?

OK, I was just joking! Everybody knows she couldn't fit a whole quilt in there...maybe just a hop-along project and a small sewing kit.
