Quilt Shop recommendations - TX, ARK, MO

We will be traveling from near Houston to Branson, MO in June and will stop in as many quilt shops as we can along the way. So I'd like to develop my own personal Shop Hop. I'd like to pick up a FQ in each shop and turn them into a quilt to show our little vacation. I know we'll go through Texarkana and Little Rock on the way to Branson, but don't really know where else.

Suggest away, please!

Honeybee quilt store is on Anderson Mill, just off Research Blvd. It is my favorite quilt shop. People are very friendly and helpful.

There is a nice quilt store there in Branson. Can't remember the name of it -- I've not been there, but have heard others talk about it.

The big outlet square in Branson has a quilt store, not a shop. It sells premade quilts, most quilted overseas. Very disappointing to think it's a quilt shop and find out it's not. The quilt shops in Branson are scattered but easy to find.

There is a nice big quilt shop between Texarkana and Little Rock called Pinwheels on Hwy 5 right off the interstate 30. http://pinwheelfabrics.com/

If you go anywhere Dallas you have to check these out
Do a search here on Perth stree stores anf scroll on down to Golden D'Or on Harry Hines. I tried to put in the link but every time I posted it it would not show up when I clicked REPLY. But well worth the trip.

Thanks for the suggestions - got a PM that was very helpful, too. I googled quilt shops in Branson and found that 16 shops are listed, but ... as one of you found out - most of them sell premade items. So ... I may make a list and call before get there to be sure the shop is what I want.

Bluebonnet - thanks for your detailed list and for the idea to make one! I'm finally starting to make notes about fabric I order online - what shop it's from and what project it's for. Now I need to start a notebook of shops. My husband loves shop hops and we have done several, but I find now that they all run together. I know I got backing at this one and sock monkey fabric and that one, but for the life of me can't tell you which is which!
Thanks again!
