Quilt Shops near the Outer Banks?

I'm heading to NC for a week (Southern Shores area), and would like personal recommendations for quilt shops close nearby. I haven't been there in about 9 years. I looked up MaryJo's- it is several hours west, so Maybe I'll get there some other time. There used to be a nice shop Funtastic Fabrics, but it seems to be gone. I won't have a lot of time for a long trip and will be driving my friend's car so the closer, the better. She's not a quilter so visiting shops along the way down from NY isn't an option. I'm going to pack very light so my sewing machine can go with me. I'll sew while she golfs. Suggestions about shops you've visited? Even a good JoAnns? I collect small amts of fabrics instead of trinkets or postcards. I like most fabrics except Civil War- a little too subdued for me. Thank you very much.
