Quilt shops in Seattle, WA....or other quilty places

We are heading to Seattle in a few weeks for vacation. Any must stop places that are quilt related?

TIA

If you google, you'll see several stores listed with ratings and maps.

Maybe she's hoping for personal recommendations...

That's why I mentioned the ratings.

I was just there a couple of weeks ago. I really enjoyed The Quilting Loft which is in the Ballard area of Seattle. You can check out the Ballard Locks while you are there. If you want to make a day trip over to the Kitsap Peninsula via the ferry, visit the Quilted Strait in Port Gamble - it was showcased in the Spring/Summer 2012 issue of the Quilt Sampler. One place I didn't get to, but will next time, is the Quilt Barn in Puyallup. When I was at the Pacific West Quilt Show I discovered Island Quilter which is on Vashon Island, also a ferry trip from Seattle. This is another shop I will have to visit when I go back. I hope this helps. Have a great vacation.

I live in Tacoma and there are oodles of shops in the area. Quilted Strait in Port Gamble is great, the Quilt Barn in Puyallup, Bayside in Olympia, Heirloom in Poulsbo, Evergreen and Calico Thread in Tacoma, Parish Quilts in Parkland,
Harbor Quilts in Gig Harbor, .... So many great places for a girl to spend hubby's money. Enjoy your visit.

Heirloom Quilts in Poulsbo is closed after being in business for over 30 years.

I had heard she was retiring but heard also that someone new was taking over. That's sad. It was a nice shop.

When I was there two weeks ago, the shop was definitely out of business.

I would love to live in the area. Lots of great quilting going on in Washington.
