Quilt Shops
Can anybody recommend any quilt shops along the east coast of Florida? We are planning a trip to the Keys and if a shop is convenient to the highway, it's a possibility we may stop into a shop. Thanks for your time and help.

I check out the website for Quilter's Travel Companion before traveling. Here is the one for Florida:

Here's a link to quilt shops in Florida. Just click on the counties you'll be visiting & it will display LQS in that area with addresses & phone #s. Hope this is a help.

Be careful about the Quilt Travel Books and even the websites. Several shops have closed recently. I can think of the following shops open in Palm Beach County and Broward County. There are more in some other counties. All are relatively close to both 95 and the Florida Turnpike.
PALM BEACH COUNTY 1)Quilter's Choice in Jupiter (about 1-2 miles off of both 95 and the Florida Turnpike. 2)Laura's Sew and Vac in Palm Beach Gardens (literally right off of 95--you can see the shopping center from 95). Laura also has another shop in Martin County, just north of Palm Beach County 3)Buttonwood in Greenacres. 4)Stitchcraft (may still be listed as three crafty quilters) in Boca Raton. BROWARD COUNTY 1)Sunshine Sewing Company in Margate 2)Once Upon a Quilt on Griffin Road in Fort Lauderdale (in between Turnpike and 95) (note that My quilt Shoppe is still listed as open as is Jamie's Country Stitches, but they are both closed) Have fun! (I have a feeling I left something out). |
