HI Everyone!!
I went to my first quilt show this past weekend and LOVED IT!

They featured two national shows plus local quilts and a block contest>

I don't know if all shows have vendors who are also quilt shop owners----but they had a fantastic array of fabrics and I bought quite a lot. I found goodies for future swaps, extra Christmas fabrics, and LOTS of FQs.

I did have one little thing I wasn't sure about....I asked one vendor if I could get some material in 1/2yd increments and she agreed. then i bought another from her (1yd this time) and she was pushing to get more. Did I make a newbie mistake without knowing?

Would love to hear what you've seen at your favorite shows!!

I am so glad that you had a good time at the quilt show. I love them!!! I am always torn between the quilts and the shopping-just cannot decide which is more fun :lol:

I do not think you made a mistake at all. If you wanted a 1/2 yard and the vendor was willing to sell it to you, then good for you for asking. I would have done the same thing.

One of my favorite things about going to a quilt show is finding things for sale that I do not see in my local area. It is fun to shop with vendors that are from other areas of the country. New gadgets are fun to shop for too.

The quilts always inspire me so much. I am so jazzed and ready to quilt after a show that I go home and sew, sew, sew!!!

Glad you had fun. Show us what you bought do not leave us in suspense :D

I've got some of the goodies in the wash and am trying to do actual laundry in between LOL. It may be a while before I can post pix

I'm a quilt show junkie. :mrgreen: I could spend hours just gazing at quilts. Can't wait to see some of your photos.
