Is there anyone going to the quilt show Friday afternoon? I should have asked this question earlier.

Ninnie 06-19-2009 07:49 AM

Please post lots of pictures when you get back!!!

billswife99 06-19-2009 09:34 AM

I went yesterday! It was a nice show. I bought 39 fq's!!!

user3587 06-19-2009 09:49 AM

I went yesterday as well, during lunch, it's right across the street from where I work. I thought about going again today around 2:30 and thought maybe someone from the board was going and I could meet them (in person). Let's just say I spent money. I usually have to have a project and the amount of fabric I need before buying fabric. I have a few FQ. About the only thing I might buy without project in mind is batik. Can't get enough. I saw a quilt at the show that was made with the WonderArc Large and it was made of pastel batiks. I had never seen pastel together like that. I fell in love with it.

Okie where are the pics?

user3587 06-19-2009 10:21 AM

I don't have a camera, and I was thinking I saw a sign that said no pictures. I may be mistaken. I'll look when I get there, just one more hour. You know I'm not getting much done at work today. Thank goodness there is no one looking over my shoulder. I have a camera phone but I don't know how to get pictures from my phone to the computer. I'm sure I have to buy something to do it with.

Ninnie 06-19-2009 10:52 AM

okie, I think you can get an attachment that plugs into your computer, and I don't think they are too expensive.

I think you should listen to the little voice that says "batiks...you need more batiks...."

I think there is more than one small voice. Their singing in harmony.

I wish I could go, but I don't have a car anymore. Please let us see what they have.

racnquilter 06-19-2009 11:46 AM

Didn't know about it :-( The way my day at work is going, would have been much better off there instead of here...LOL.

Here are a few. I didn't take many. The colors were much better than this. I must have had the camera set wrong. The last one is 1/2" squares!

I was going to ask the question yesterday. I would love to go but it is a 3 hour drive there and 3 hours back and so hot that I have decided against it. Hope all of you have fun and find some great stuff and hope that someone is able to share some pictures will all of us.

This picture of the Grandmother's Flower Garden is mine!! You made my day. I'd like to hear why you took this picture. Glad you enjoyed the show; I'm in the Guild and on the Show Committee. I'm a lurker here, but have enjoyed keeping up with all the messages!

Welcome binthepink! Your grandmothers flower garden is lovely. I especially like the touch of the bird in the top corner. Hope to see you around more. Glad you finally posted and are not lurking anymore.

Oh that is so cool that I took a picture of your quilt! I loved it and wish I took more pictures of it. But I was intrigued by the way you quilted it and the little birds and things in the corners added such a sweet touch to it. I have always wanted to make one of these and have just recently learned to piece this way. So I'm starting out with a quilt for my grand daughters baby doll. A few of my cyber friends are working on these too and I wanted to show them your quilt. Any chance you can post a picture of the whole quilt for us?

binthepink 06-22-2009 04:20 AM

Thanks so much. I would love to post a pic, but I don't know how. The next time a family member comes by and can show me how, I will do it.
(I feel very enept sometimes with computer stuff!)

Billswife99 asked for these pictures from the Oklahoma City quiltshow. My daughter's helped me, so here they are! Thanks again.

You can email them to yourself. Set your email as a contact and send it on...free nothing more to buy :D
