Quilt size
My daughter is expecting our first grandchild. It is a boy. I am planning on making a quilt for the crib. I have made many baby quilts, but never one that I have planned to fit the crib. What size should the quilt be to look nice in the crib?Should the length of the quilt be the same size as the length of the crib?

45 x 60 is what is called "crib" size when buying batting. Works well for me. It's way too big for a newborn, but folds quite nicely for a smaller pallet for a play surface or nap time space. BTW, any type of blanket is discourage for youngsters nowaday. Bundle kid up in a heavier sleeper and no blankets. |
I make many baby quilts and the size is 45x60, or slightly smaller in width so you don't have to piece the back.
