Quilt Sticks by Annie's
 

Has anyone used the Quilt Sticks by Annie's? Sorry I don't have the website to post but you can Google Quilt Sticks and find them.

What is your opinion of this product? I am considering it for speed and accuracy (as advertised) in cutting various strips.

For me, a June Tailor Shape Cut mat would be faster and easier. I can cut multiple strips with one positioning of the mat, and the slits keep my cuts straight. Here is the website:

I agree with Prism99...look how many of those quilt sticks you would have to collect. Not to mention store. The June Tailor Shape Cut is much, much easier and all in one piece.

third vote for the June Tailor. I have one quilt stick and always seem to grab the June instead.

For the price of all those different ones you 'may have to' purchase, consider both the Shape Cut Plus and/or the Shape Cut Pro (slots are 2 1/2" apart, but the ruler is 20"x23"). I have both and use them more than my Altos Quick Cut 2. Fabric can be layered to your preference. Cut binding strips, charms, layer cakes, jelly rolls, hex's, triangles, etc. etc. I also use them to cut fringes on fleece blankets. If I had purchased these Shape Cut slotted rulers when I was first starting out, I would have no Altos Quick Cut 2 and only a few other rulers hanging on my peg board. We learn as we go.

The Shape Cut comes in 12x12 and 12x18. The 12x18 is expensive, but worth the cost, because you don't have to move it as much. I didn't know that the 12x18 even existed until after I had bought my 12x12, and had to wait 5 years before I cracked it to replace it with the 12x18.

I have the Shape Cut and it is nice but it will slip sometimes. The main purpose of the stick is it will not move at all once on the fabric. They are made from masonite type material, very lightweight. Don't expect solid dense wood. At my last quilt retreat a quilter had a few. She loved them. The only fussing was getting the edge on the fabric edge. You have to pick up the stick to adjust, it won't slide on the fabric. If I didn't have my Go dies I would certainly use them. If you have ruler slippage then you will probably save the cost in not having miss cut strips. Ask if there is a return policy and give one a try. Don't by pass a chance to try something that may work great for you.

Looks interesting to me. I might have to give them a try, even though I do love my June cutter.
