I always use the 65mph rule.
If ya can't see it from the road passing by at 65mph, it isn't a problem.

Nobody but you will notice the extra 2 inches. And if they do, tell them to make their own darn quilt next time.

you did a VERY good job of explaining the process with this problem..

Yes, it is true that no one will notice but you, the problem is, you WILL notice, each and every time you look at the quilt.

I would recommend this approach on all quilts, and this one in particular..

I had to laugh when I read your response. I did however use the pressing solution this evening. I was able to increase the short end very close to the long end. I will use the ease method with the border now. Here is a picture of quilt top without the borders.

That is one pretty quilt, love the pattern and colors. Glad that the pressing got it close enough. :D

Oh, I'm very glad the pressing worked for you...it is way too pretty to have something off on that one!
