Please hand quilt, the quilt deserves to be hand quilted, after all, it has been hand pieced.

I found several tops that my grandmother made circa 1930's and 40's that are quite similar to yours. If that helps you date it at all.. I just sandwiched them and tied them to give to each of my siblings so we have one of our family treasures each

I agree. Definitely hand quilt.

At least one piece of 40's, some 50's, 60's and possibly some 30's. What a cool piece of history (I am a devil for vintage fabric and will buy even small pieces). I would hand quilt but not big stitch (this is purely a personal choice). Show us what you come up with - I would love to see the end result.

Please don't wait till you retire to begin hand-quilting this. If you do a little at a time... you know... slow and steady wins the race. :o Just enjoy the process.

Took me a year to handquilt one of mine. Enjoyed every minute I worked on it.

I agree with handquilting it a little at a time and it will be done way faster than you can imagine!
