Has anyone taken a class?
THere is one called ripless paper pieceing which sounds very interesting.
Does anyone know this method?
Thanks Gale

Gale, I presume this is the method where you fold back the foundation paper and stitch 'next' to the line at each section, not tried it, but I have a tute on the laptop about it. It saves time and paper as you can reuse the foundation pattern time and time again, and big bonus no ripping out at the end :D

Is that the same as English paper piecing?

not really the same. EPP you cut shapes like hexagons or triangles and fold your fabric around the edges then baste in place, then whip stitch the sides together without catching the paper that's then removed. PP is where your sew your fabric on to the paper at intersecting lines to secure your seams then tear out all the small pieces.

Loretta I haven't heard of paper being left, but you quite often hear of using a fine muslim or stablizer as a foundation fabric that is left in.... :D

I have taken many classes from Quilt University. I haven't taken this specific one, but I was thinking about it. I have tried something similar to this method I think and I really preferred it to the other way. I hate trying to get all those bits of paper out of the back! grrrr. I have never been disappointed in any class I have taken from QU.

Thanks Izy, I've downloaded and printed this one out..I'm going to try it today. I just hate pulling out the paper..I always loosen my stitches.
