Quilt week Chattanooga

Has anyone been? What was it like? Any hotel recommendations? Would I need to attend all 4 days for the full experience or would two days suffice?

A few years ago My late very special friend went there and sent me Pics of lots of the quilts. She was not a quilter nor even could sew a button on, she did appreciate the time and work that went into the making of a quilt.
She lived not far from there. At that time it was very nice.

I have been twice. Chattanooga is a very nice town. Two days would be plenty for me. My friends made the reservations at hotel at the venue so we didn't have to drive which was very nice.

I went last year and enjoyed the show and all the vendors. I live near Knoxville so it was a day trip for me, but I know there are lots of nice hotels within walking distance to the center. I have only ever been to the shows in Knoxville and Chattanooga, so I don't really have a basis for comparison, but I thought it was worthwhile. I needed a few specific items and was able to get show-special pricing on a couple of them, which was a bonus.

Part of the display was a challenge to use the "Wicked Green" in a quilt, and there were some amazing interpretations of the musical done in 24" square quilts. The other quilts were amazing too.
