Would love to have some plain, simple, easy to understand instructions on quilting as you go. I'm not able to handle large quilts anymore and would love to try this method. Can anyone help? Thank you.

This sounds like an interesting idea. I may have to give it a try for an instant gratification, even if its only one block at a time. I don't have room for a frame and my fingers can not handle a large quilt since I would have to hand quilt it.

I saw a quilt Saturday at a shop near me where they had made the quilt kind of like a string-pieced block, only it was probably crib-quilt sized: 2.5" strips; backing and batting layered (probably I would use spray adhesive to hold them in place); then she started in the middle with one strip and sewed one to each side, progressively outward. The fabrics were a "set" == same design/different colors, kind of wild and loud - but the outcome was spectacular looking.

This shows one Quilt As You Go method
I am doing a Crazy quilt with this QAYG method but with a different angle to it. I cut my backing a 14 inch square, then sewed my pieces to the 12 inch batting. I tied it to the backing with embroidery floss then turned over the edges and sewed them down as the video shows. Hope that I was as clear as mud!!!

Thank you! I am so thrilled to get responses so quickly. I saw QAYG mentioned on a website (no instructions). My current project is a T-shirt quilt using about 80 shirts. The front and backing will be shirts and QAYG is a feasible method for me. Any more thoughts always welcome!
