QuiltAssistant
If anyone here uses QuiltAssistant, I could use some help.
I am enjoying the level of creativity I can achieve using this software, and I am mostly creating Paper Piecing patterns. I was able to save one pattern as a .pdf, but since then, I cannot do it anymore. How do I save as a .pdf? Also, I am renaming the pieces using the Shape Tree. However, I am not able to save or print the Paper Piecing patterns along with the new names. How do I save the patterns along with the new names. Thanks for all your help. Pat |
I don't know your software. Did you used to save it as .pdf, or did you Print it as .pdf ? When I use my Print command, i have the choice of my printer or as .pdf.

I'm not sure what I did. I'll try printing as a .pdf.

Easiest for me is "Fireshot", free downloadable software. I love it --use it all the time. You can capture a single object or scroll and save the entire selection as pdf. Love, love, love it.

Will it work with Chrome? Sounds very useful!
OK, according to "Tom's Guide" it will. I will have to try it! Will let you know. |
I was able to save as a Microsoft Print to PDF file. But keep getting an error message when I try to rename. Now I'm testing the Paper Pieced Pattern to see how it stitch out.

Why not just use the name it provided (write it down so you don't forget it) and maybe try to rename it at another time. Sometimes in renaming files you can't use certain symbols like /, -, (, ), etc.

Try going into your file manager to the folder where you keep the newly created .pdf file opsit click and you will get a drop down menu with one option to Rename.

Is there a place in the software for preferences? It may in the setting.
The other option is to do a "save as" for your file. Either use the default name or rename the file. Look at the area under file name. Select the format you want and save. |
Renaming as a .pdf didn't work. Had to print to Microsoft Print to PDF file.
