Quilted Bowl Holders?

So my brain isn't working and I can't for the life of me think what those little holders are called. They are quilted squares you can put a bowl in to put them in the microwave. Does anyone know what they are called so I can try and research some pattern?

TIA

Melissa

We ALL have those moments so the older you get the MORE often they occur!! Yes, they are called Microwave bowls but they are also great for holding a bowl of Ice Cream without freezing your fingers !! :)

I wouldn't put them in the microwave, but they are great for holding hot (or cold) dishes.

They are not made to cook anything but to heat something. I don't leave mine in the microwave for more then 2 min. I have warm and natural batting in them. Microwaves are different wattage so that makes a big difference too.

You all rock! And you found the tutorial too! That's why I love this place and the members here!

Be sure to use 100% cotton fabric and thread. Buy the batting made for the tater bags and don't leave in for more than 2 minutes no matter what you use. They will catch fire if left longer and unattended is not a good idea. I usually warm up my bowl of soup and set it in the holder to eat.

Cotton batting then too, I take it? Writing down everyone's tips. I'm thinking Christmas presents and then I can write out instructions like I do for quilts to keep them safe.

Absolutely cotton batting. I gave them last year and they were a huge hit.

I made them last Christmas and used Pellon's Wrap n Zap. I found it at Joann's and used a coupon.
