check ornaments on pintrest. several clicks on the picture and many, not all, take you to the source and a pattern. Others can be figured out-how to- just by looking at the idea

I'm looking for patterns for small, quilted ornaments and have pretty much struck out. I Googled yesterday and all that yesterday and I only found a few and they all seemed to go to the same sites. I figured that all you knowledgeable people on this site would know of patterns available or some sites that I missed. Thank you in advance for your help.

I love this tread. Thanks for all the great ideas.
These are not quilted but are made of fabric. I made quite a few of these one year. mdoll did this tutorial : http://www.quiltingboard.com/attachm...4-p1010422.jpg Here's a 3-D bell using yo-yos: http://ajpadilla.com/patterns/season...3-d-yo-yo-bell |

Wishing you the best in your efforts.
I made the fabric pine cones too. Addictive I would say. Easy as can be. I still have a couple more to make. Sending them as Christmas gifts this year. |

OKSEWGLAD- those ornaments are great!
Forgot to mention- many pin cushion patterns make cute ornaments. How about this one? http://www.rileyblakedesigns.com/med...Pincushion.pdf |
I have a compilation of links on my personal blog - far too many to list here. http://yarn-or-fabric.weebly.com/chr...ent-links.html I've made a bunch of these. There are a lot of quilted or pieced ones listed. Maybe you'll find what you are looking for.
You can take just about any block and shrink it to make a miniature and don't forget small paper pieced blocks. You can print out your block to be a small 3" block or so and whip up several like that :) |
Thank you all so much. I think I can make a lot of these for my tree and for gifts.

Thanks, Red Garnet 222 for link to the pine cone ornament tutorial. These are really beautiful!
