quilted "cuff bracelet"
Somewhere I heard chatter about some kind of quilted cuff that one just wears on their arm, not attached to clothes. Kind of like jewelry. Anyone know where there might be instructions or pictures? Thanks

Here is a "quilted" cuff bracelet I made from selvages and vintage buttons. It is fun to wear!

Great use of selvages! Very creative.

That's really cute Neena. Does it have any innerfacing, or batting, or fleece?

Here's a link to someone's blog who made them. She used flannel to put between the top and bottom.

The selvages are sewn to muslin and with the backing it didn't need any batting or stabilizer to hold its shape. If it had not been selvages i would probably have used interfacing or small piece of warm and natural batting. Be sure u make it long enough to allow for thickness plus overlap for snap closure. I used 2 snaps for closure. I want to make one with postage stamp sized blocks.

Quilted cuffs have been around for several years now. There are instructions and photos all over the internet. Just search Google images and pick some you like.

Thanks, I had never heard of them, my head must be in the fog or something. After more than 50 years of quilting I am learning a lot here on QB.

They've been a very popular topic in Quilting Arts Magazine and in their Christmas Gift special issues. That's how I learned of them anyway.

How unique. I love it.
