Are you thinking of one of these, Mom used to make them and I have a whole tote full then just found more in a second color, in a different storage container, it's a cool looking method !!

Oh yeah, I remember Puff quilting. Is that what you wanted?

I thought she was talking about the balls that look like they could have been made out of biscuits, with lots of places for a kiddo to grasp. Don't have a picture (except mentally) or a pattern though. Have seen a pattern online somewhere but did not bookmark it...wish I had.

Rosalyn's a clever girl! Loved her quilts and the colours she used.

You know all those polyester knits???? I was into making pull-on pants out of them, so had many colors. Used the scraps and made a 50 inch square puff quilt for the grandbabies. Made a great floor pad and yard blanket. I think it is still tucked away somewhere. I loved that pink and white one that Roselyn made, may just do another one in a soft fabric like that one. They were fun and easy to do while watching TV.

How are the little pillows sewn together?

clem55 07-31-2010 11:01 AM

I sewed mine together by using a machine zig-zag. Just placed the puffs side by side as close as I could get them.

CarrieAnne 07-31-2010 08:51 PM

yuesay 07-31-2010 08:54 PM

yes , mom-6 it's an actual ball made of little sewn biscuits

ghostrider 08-01-2010 03:12 AM

So is it the pattern I posted earlier or is it something else? I'm confused! http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/s...onfused002.gif

yuesay 08-01-2010 07:09 AM

no, ghostrider, i thank you, but that is not the one, altho i will be trying one of those also. this is made with actual little puffs as in puff/biscuit pattern. i can make the puff/biscuits but i don't know how to get, maybe 12 or 16 or so squares to end up in a round ball shape

CraftsByRobin 08-01-2010 07:26 AM

is this what you are looking for?

If you decide to go that route, here's the map of how to put it together. http://www.mathcurve.com/polyedres/i...20ball%202.jpg
