Have any of you sewn quilted tablecloths or pieced it together? I found a large size sundress from a garage sale, and I love....the fabric. Now I know I'm truly a "materialist girl" when I take a garment apart for the fabric. I was thinking it would be beautiful as a round table topper with a long tablecloth underneath, to use on our patio in Texas.

Yes I have several pieced table cloths.

I made a reversible tablecloth for the holidays; Thanksgiving on one side and Christmas on the other. Both had preprinted designs but the Christmas fabric had the lines to indicate it was pieced so I used those lines to quilt it. I also put an insulated batting in it so that I didn't have to worry about my tabletop.

My daughter "confiscated" one of my quilts for a tablecloth!

I use quilted tablecloths all the time, they protect my table and they look so nice

My grandmother made a Texas Star tablecloth for my round table. I love it. I put red felt underneath and the pointed stars hanging down are so very pretty.
