I purchased a bunch of patterns for teddy bears and other animals and a bright idea came to me.....these would be so cute to do quilt patches of different colored fabrics. They would make a good gift for kids. I am going to make a little quilt that goes with the bear.

That sounds so fun. I would love to see one when you finish.

I will have a few done by the end of the week and will post a picture.

At one time it was a popular gift shop item. Many of the bears were made out of old quilts which were (sadly) cut up and made into bears. Some quilts can't be saved and this is a good use for them.

A patch work bear would be a cute gift.

I have several quilted animals-teddy bears, cats, a chicken-and I never tire of looking at them. Sounds like you are onto something great and making a little quilt to go with is a nice touch.
