my grandma recently made and sent my mom the cutest towel!!! I am going to make some, so I will post pictures when I do. Anyhow, I will try to explain how to make them:

You need: 1 Kitchen Towel, 1 Pot Holder (your typical quilted looking 6x6inch, guessing on size, it must have the hanger in the middle of one of the sides), One button.

You will sew a straight line down the center of the pot holder sewing it onto the center of the kitchen towel. You will be sewing on the face side of the towel, and the back of the pot holder. So when it is sewing together you have a towel folded in half with a pot holder folded in half sewn to the top of it. By the way, make sure the pot holder hanger is on the back (the side of the towel that will be facing the stove or wall depending where you hang it). Then you sew a button to the front of the pot holder at the top center and then you take the hanger and fold it over and it hooks onto the button creating the fastener so it can be fastened over your oven door handle etc.



Okay my instructions aren't very good. I am going to try and find a picture somewhere on the internet to post!!!

OH!! And you don't have to use a store bought pot holder, you could make your own quilted pot holder!

You are welcome!! I hope it is appreciated, because I would sure feel horrible if you didn't like that I posted the link!!! However, I had no idea it was a member blog!!! I just googled pot holder towel and yours was the one that showed them the best, and also are like the ones my grandmother made. By the way, your blog is great!!!!

I thank you, too, as those are darned cute and so easy to make! I like that you just use the loop on the potholder for the button. How quick and easy is that? And then the darned towel will stay put, instead of falling on the floor as mine is want to do.

I thought they were pretty genius too!! The funny thing is that I just saw the one my mom got on Saturday when I visiting her, and here today is someone asking for something similar!!

The cool thing about this is that it is SUPER simple, SUPER fast, you now have something that doubles as a towel and pot holder, and it stays put!!!
