I'm a car restorer and wanted to ask if anyone knows where I can purchase black quilted vinyl one inch or one and one half size squares. The trunk of the car I'm restoring uses this as a liner. I've searched on the internet without much luck, can anyone steer me in the right direction? Thanks Rich B.

A couple of other places you can inquire:

www.fabrics.net has a fabrics wanted section
www.all-about-fabrics.com also has a wanted section

Hello rdbrown. Maybe you want to show us some pics? I think it's very difficult to restore a car, especially the seats. Maybe I can do the seats of my own car as well.

Welcome on board from Europe.

you can also check with your local fabric shop most of them will do sewing for customers.

i'm sure some one would be happy to make it for you.

Lostn51 (Billy) restores cars, too. I'll bet he knows where to get just what you need.

Thank you everyone for replying to my question. I checked on Joann"s web site but did not see any. I'm looking for quilted vinyl not pleated . Boat dealer seem to sell a lot of pleated but no quilted that I can find. The local fabric store said I could not make it without a special machine. She said the perforations the the needle would make would cause the vinyl to tear along the quilted lines. What do some of you experienced quilters think of that. Thanks Rich B.
