Wanted to share that I've purchased Quilter's Academy Freshman Year from Carrie and Harriet Hargrave. GREAT book. Lays a wonderful foundation to becoming an all-star quilter!

For anyone who is new or who thinks a reminder of some solid techniques is in order I highly recommend it. I'm working through each lesson and can see a difference in my skills already.

I'm not affiliated in any way but wanted to share the info!

Two friends and I are working our way through the book. Following her suggestions and working through the projects is making quite a difference in our accuracy!

I love the book too. I'm blogging my way through it, though have been sidetracked by a special project for the last two months. Am looking forward to getting back on track. I have their Sophomore & Junior year books as well, and have used tips from the Sophomore year to get the sashing right on the signature quilt.

I just finished reading Heirloom Machine Quilting in preparation for quilting the signature quilt.

Cheers, K
