I'm not very creative, but I know what I like. I would never make a quilt just like someone else's. I will use their pattern, but choose my own color and fabrics. Or use their color scheme on a different pattern. My daughter is the creative one in the family. She makes beautiful quilts. She puts color together much better than I do.

What I am trying to say is that we are all talented and creative to some degree - some more than others. That's why we quilt. That's why a painter paints. I could never paint, but I can sew pieces of fabric together.

My 6 yr old granddaughter says I'm just like an artist but sew instead of painting. How smart is she!
