Sharon that is true, on this forum and i bekong to others, like papercraft/scrapping and cardmaking and even crocheting, you guys rock, you stand out and you are just amazing. from here i have received free templates from amazing rhonda, you all wanted to help when my friends lost everything in that fire and now this week you all have cared about me for loosing one of my chinchillas. i have yet to excperiance this kindness and love other places. so thank you for being who you are. |
I agree with you!!! The thing I miss most since retirement and moving to the country is the ability to share what I do and getting praise --- okay, so I LIKE getting praise!!! I've been on other forums and hardly get any feedback -- usually the forum is made up of a group of people that know each other and ignore newbies or it's a "dead" forum. This forum is outstanding.....very friendly, responsive people. So I join you in saying....YOU ALL ARE GREAT!
|
As a relative newby I agree wholeheartedly
|
I've only been here for 3 months now, and so thankful I found it.
Greatest bunch of people I have ever known, and that is no bull!!! So a great big THANKS to everyone for making me feel welcome and right at home! |
As a newbie I feel the same way. This forum is very addicting. Everyone so willing to help and are soooo nice. Thanks to you all!!!! :D :D

Nina, you're right. this is an amazing forum. I find it so refreshing that the men and women on this site will not only help and respond positively and to others, but everyone is willing and happy to share knowledge. It doesn't take long to form bonds with people here. I love the sense of humor here, too. So, a big thank you from another sorta-newbie.

I also am fairly new to the board. I can't wait to log on each day to be inspired in quilting and in life. What you find here are great quilters who are truly giving, caring people. I thank you all.

Finding this board ( by accident no less ) is one of the best things to happen to me. What a great group of friendly helpful people.
|
I am just so happy to meet fellow cyberquilters. It seems that we are all made from the same cloth. No matter where we live, how old we are, what our backgrounds are - we can at least relate to each other through our craft.
This group of QB quilters is particularly nice, supportive, funny, and motivating. I have done more in my sewing room since I joined the QB than the entire last year. So THANK YOU from me too. |
Double ditto to all of the above!! I really can't find words to express how much I love this board!!
I have been soooo inspired by all of your work, been given so much encouragement in doing mine, learned tons of freely given hints & tips, and been blessed to have my things praised too. (yes, I love praise too! ) I sincerely doubt if I would have half the enthusiasm for quilting as I do, without you all. You all are very much appreciated!!!! Thank you! :-) And thank you Sunnyhope, for starting this thread! :-) |
Yes, I have to agree that Quilters are a generous lot...and there were people on this board that don't post so much anymore that helped out Newbies like myself...all I can say to everyone, is pay the kindness you received forward and this board will continue to be successful and a kind and inviting place for everyone for new and not so new quilters and crafters.
Many friends are available here to all if one just says "hello" Kirsten |
I agree with all the above. I have always felt so welcome here.
|
Ditto to ALL the above! :)
|
well, I've been around for just a bit, but whatever I give here, I get back tenfold. I consider each and every person on this forum, my quilting family. Love you all. :XD:

These are the best people in the world! I had a knee replacement that went bad and lost my job. Someone said that they wanted to get rid of scraps and I was wanting to make a Crazy Quilt ( one for myself and one for my cousin for Christmas). Several of you "angels" sent me scraps and I made my first one for my cousin but gave it to her last month as she has cancer and will not be here Christmas-----she says. She loved it! She has a spirit that I have never seen before! Ready to go at any time! She has amazed many around here with heer spirit!
I hope I got around to thanking everyone! I tried to keep a list!!! I am now starting on mine and will post pictures soon. Thanks again |
Isn't it wonderful how quickly you are no longer a 'newbie' with this group! Someone asks a question, and all of a sudden you think, 'Hey, I have something to contribute about that.' And you forget about your 'newbie-ness.' I agree with everyone who says' 'I have a lot of friends here.' I can't let a day pass without checking in. And if I do, I have a BUNCH of emails from threads to look at.
I'll have to think long and hard about that the next time I go on vacation. Do I want to UNclick 'Notify when a reply is posted' or do I want to come home to 2 weeks of posts? LOL |

I have been here a bit over a year and NEVER met such fantastic people as on here. That's why I call you all my angels :D
