Quilters Dream "Sew Popular" vote
 

Last year our small guild entered the first annual Quilters Dream Hopes and Dreams Challenge for ALS. We made 247 quilts in a 6 month period and won the challenge in the 'most generous guild category.' Most of our prize package was used to make more quilts for ALS patients. This year I donated a queen size lone star quilt "Desert Star" in honor of my best friend who is battling this devastating disease and refuses to give up. She is the most courageous person I know. The quilt I donated has been chosen as one of the quilts being voted on for the "Sew Popular Peoples Choice vote." Up until today, it was ahead but now I need your help. Today is the last day to vote. If I win, the prize package will go right back to my guild to make more quilts for this worthy cause. If you'd like to help me win, here's the link

I voted, too. My goal for 2012 is to do five, although they may not always be full sized. One idea I have is to do the ALS logo as a wall hanging. This is truly a terrible disease. I lost my grandmother, great aunt, one aunt, my sister and another aunt was diagnosed last year. Also have lost two friends.
