Quilters Dream Wool

I have never used Quilters Dream Wool, I usually use the Quilters Dream Poly. I am nervous about using this for the first time because it is a raffle for a charity event. The quilt is a batik and I was planning on using glide thread to quilt. Will I have any problems with bearding? The packaging says you can machine dry on a cool setting, hmmmm that sounds scary. I have only spray basted it at this point so I can change my plans. Any advice???

You can't go wrong with wool as far as my opinion goes :). Dream Wool is a good brand. You shouldn't have a bit of problem with bearding. The only reason I can see for swapping it out is to keep that luscious wool for yourself and put poly in the charity quilt.

I have used Quilters Dream Wool and liked it. I even washed and dryed the quilt after quilting and it was fine. I don't think you will have any bearding. Wool has a higher loft and I actually prefer a lower loft type batting, but will use it on certain quilts.

I love Quilters Dream Wool batting, it heave to quilt through. No fear of bearding, especially when used with batiks because the weave is so tight. Wool batting does not easily retain creases so its nice for raffle quilts that way too.

I wish I could afford to use wool on every quilt I finish!! It is by far my preference these days for feel, weight, drape, washability, quilting ease, and wear and the only batting I will use for my personal bed quilts. Go for it!

dream wool is my all time favorite batting- I love, love, love using it. I have never had any problems with bearding- make sure you use the correct size needle for the thread you are using. my quilts with wool battings I toss in the washing machine-and into the dryer on regular settings- they come out lofty, soft, fabulous! if I could afford it I would use dream wool in every quilt I make. :)
