Wow, I am from Montana and didn't know about them! I may have to check that out a little closer.
|
That is cool. DH would never go for personalized plates....he would think its stupid.

We could buy custom quilt plates

In Washington we have quite a few customized license plates. I have a wildlife one. But I don't see that we have the quilter one. I think it is a great idea. Anything our state can do to give the government more money, I'm in agreement. We don't pay state income tax, and I would like to keep it that way! So, I see this as just another revenue option for people who want to pay the extra money to get these really neat license plates.
This would be a good research project. |
I just checked and Tennessee and Colorado do not have plates for quilters but Tennessee has a ton of specialty plates.
Lucky Montana quilters!!! Billy |
i am from montana and i have the plates--we only have about 113 different plates

I have the I Rather Be Quilting plate on the front of my car. My family thinks it's hokey. I love it. I won't pay for personal state plates, I pay enough to the state as is.

I live in Virginia and my plate is QUILT 4. We don't have a plate with a quilt on it but it's fun to make your own personalized plate.

In Florida, designs for license plates are approved by the State Legislature. According to State Statute: "The organization must hire an independent survey company to conduct a survey on Florida registered motor vehicle owners, an application fee of $60,000, a long-term and short-term marketing plan, financial analyzes and the design of the license plate." I would imagine most states have something like this.
|
So cool!! Wish NY had them, but sadly they don't have much of a variety at all
|
guess i will have to post a pic
|
