There are 4 of the 6 in the series published so far. Sounds like you have volume 3 (triangles) or volume 4 (stars). The fifth book will come out some time in 2014 (Medallion quilts).

I think it is more for machine quilting but I could be wrong...

Refresher courses, retreats, reading or re-reading a book, all great for quilters no matter how long we have been quilting.

As far as cutting and planning and quilt design, I think her books would be applicable. She spends a lot of time on the design aspect, so I feel very comfortable looking at a quilt and figuring out how I might replicate it.

I'm not sure you would benefit from the tips on chain piecing. You might want to look for them at your local library before purchasing them.
