Quilting Board Friends

:o What a delightful time four of us Upstate South Carolinians had as we got together for lunch and quilting and talking and teaching today. This is the third time some of us have gotten together. First time there was two of us, next time, three, and then today, four of us. We all shared what we were working on, and I believe we all learned something from each other. To me, this is one of the benefits of the Quilting Board. Thank you for making it available, and now we each have three new friends.

Sounds like a wonderful day! Quilting Board is wonderful. I would enjoy doing something like that too.

It was a great day. I had such a good time. Thank you for hosting us today! Every one was so friendly and your DH made a wonderful dessert. I'm looking forward to getting together again.

We have a little group that met through this board as well. We met up the hill at a quilt shop around a year ago, then had lunch and since then have gotten together occasionally and work on our quilting projects. Lots of fun. In fact, we are meeting again next week. It has been fun as we also enjoy a pot luck lunch as part of our gathering.

Hi, Tis is my first reply to a thread but I have been enjoying the QB for a few months ago. Love the tips, pictures, tutorials. How do you find members on here from your area? Thanks

Good question, most people don't want to give up thier location - I'm from central New Jersey

A year ago Qbees from central Virginia, one from MD, and a couple from WV, met for a museum visit, lunch, show and tell, and a quilt shop trip in Harrisonburg VA; there were 10 of us I think. Since that time I was invited to teach a workshop in WV, and have one coming up in Harrisonburg on November 10th. Three of us have remained close email friends.

Meeting other QBees is one of the best parts of this marvelous board; I encourage others to make the effort! And share photos so all of us can meet each other!
