I agree with penny. It is not like we are in a business office when posting. So I think the above post is quite trifle. OOPS. Did I misspell. My bad. LOL

I do not think anyone is referring to someone with learning or other disabilities. But I was raised to believe that friendly communication implies mutual respect. If our friends do not respect us, .... [I know the young people have a different viewpoint with their helter skelter tell all to everyone approach.] ...On one hand, we are mostly talking about the art of quilting and the friendships developed here around that art. If we do not respect our friends, who do we respect? On the other hand, friends accept us for who and what we are at our worst. Making mistakes and being casual are OK at stress times, but to me being like that all the time is just disrespectful. We all make mistakes, but are the friends you have made here not worth proofreading before sending? Too "old fashioned".

sigh ...

the person who said she wished the board software provided a spell check feature was not criticizing the spelling of others. she was simply saying that she would find it helpful to her.

if she was poking fun at anybody, she was poking fun at herself - not any of us. a lot of people rely on built-in spelling checkers nowadays.

get a grip.
take a deep breath.
stop looking for insults between every word.

remember the dress code.
