If you haven't checked this out yet, look on the Links page. Paper Panache has a free pattern for a paper-pieced Quilting Fairy Godmother. Every one is different depending on how you answer their questions. There are some finished ones posted under the topic. Fun! Check the links page, or you can go directly to the website here:

http://www.paperpanache.com/MBs/MB61/mysblk61.php It will be interesting to see what others come up with. My Quilting Fairy Godmother is named Pattrinlena. |
I just did it and my Quilting Fairy Grandma is Fabbara. I think it is going to be interesting on what she looks like.
Thanks for the project. |
I just sent for mine and her name is
Scrapbella which I think is hiliarous - my avatar is named Bella!!!!! Can't wait to see what she looks like. I will definitely be buying fabric for her Friday at Joanne's during their sale. |
Mine is called:
Piecezonia hehe. I'm not sure I will ever get to see her but isn't that typical of Fairy Godmotoers? Bonni |
Mine is Pinnoria. I' m trying to fine "flesh colored" fabric for her face and debating on what color to use for her hair but as she is a fairy I guess I can use anything. I think I'll use something wild.
LOL LOL - That is what I have been doing too!!! Pulled my box of pieces out and started to look through. There are only a couple of fat eighths that you need - everything else is scrap. I think this will perfect as a wall hanging in my room. I think I will add "Fairy Godmother" at the top and Scrapbella at the bottom. What a fun project. And it seems like it sould go pretty fast too. Can't wait to see pictures of everyone's Godmother.
I just received my Fairy Quilt Godmother and her name is: UFOzlena, never heard anything like this name before. I too, will be heading to JoAnn's for fabric tomorrow. I can hardly wait to see what she will look like.
My Fairy Godmother's name is Stipplelia!! Now we'll see how magical she is...since I don't paper piece...I'll put all the fabrics and patterns in a box and see what happens!!!
Stipplelia double posted...I knew she'd be trouble!!
This is fun!! Mine is named Needllizara.
So fun......mine is called Scraptina

Have you started your patterns yet?
Just got my pattern and my fairy quilt godmother's name, Magsuvia. My spell checker is having a problem with that one. :-))))))
No have not started as still can't make up may mind what fabric to use and I was away for the weekend helping sister with yard sale.
Mine's name is Magiknelopee. Can't wait to see her!!
Mine is StabbPaula. Rather ominous! I have to wait to get pattern now as she is out of town until the 18th.
Mine is Battzlara :)
has anyone used multiple emails to get multiple godmothers? to make a more varied wall hanging or lap quilt?
goodness! I guess I need to learn paper piecing to make waxzbara. uh...those are some tiny pieces there....yikes!
Mine is named Pattrinvinia. Looking at all the pieces and parts looks as complicated as her name. Would be fun though to see how she would end up.
This looks fun. Mine's name is Guildsey. I didn't have to wait for an email, the .pdf files are available to print immediately. I think maybe that is the code I got the first time I tried it, just to see if it would work, then I went back and picked other options, but didn't notice my name either time till I read all your posts.
So, maybe the one I printed has a cooler name than Guildsey. I don't get that name, I don't belong to a guild... lol Maybe it was the "drooling" I checked off for why I go to quilt shows? Some of the pieces, especially on Block C, are so tiny, is it even manageable to paper piece that small? |
Wow loved it I'm Selvizilla will have to wait until my printer arrives from amazon.
Sunday project with the quilt day hope so. I'm so excited. |
Miterzelda - wonder what she would look like! Unfortunately I'm not a paper piecer so may never know :(
I did this a couple of years ago when it was first posted. My Fairy Godmother (forgot her name) looked scary--at least that's what my DGC said. I did have her hanging in my sewing room. I did the questions again and got a different pattern. I hope she is friendlier looking!!! It was fun to do, and using scraps was fun.
