Quilting on Fleece lined baby quilt

I did a search on this board, but cannot find the answer to my question. I am using fleece (first time) for backing of a baby quilt. Not having any problems, but did decide to use a stretch needle for quilting. However, I am not sure how close the quilting should be. I am using straight lines and diagonal lines in parts. Thank you ahead for your replies.

If you are using batting, then follow the directions on the batting package. If you are not using batting, I would say you can quilt pretty far apart like 8" - 10"

I used fleece backing on a wheelchair quilt, no batting, used my walking foot and a fancy stitch,. The fleece was white so I used a colored thread, stitched five inches apart( doing stitch in the ditch , forming boxes) Loved the look on the back side, and there was n o shifting. Fleece stretches, but not that much to cause a worry. Will be using it more often, so easy not to deal with batting!!

Don't do a close stitch ... needs to be airy (so to speak).

I used fleece on the quilt below. I used my walking foot to block the square then quilted the flower in the center. I had also used batting seeing this was a gift for my girlfriend while she was recieve chemo treatments to keep her warm.
