I have a Singer Featherweight that I love to use all the time. I have never tried free motion quilting but would love to try. What type of quilting foot for free motion quilting do I need to buy for this machine. Thanks for your help. Also the feed dogs do not drop, will this be a problem for me.Thanks again

For FWs, you can buy a feed dog cover. I'm sure www.Featherweight221.com has everything you need-the foot and the cover. Great service, nice folks. (360) 757-4777 if you prefer.

Thanks so much. I will give them a call.

I FM quilt on my FW all the time. I prefer not to use the cover, and just set my stitch length at zero. My machines prefer the plastic foot with the spring and the small plastic opening (not the Big Foot or the Little Foot). Send me a PM if you need more detail.
