I am interested in buying quilting frames to hand quilt. What are the pros and cons of the brands available. Have looked on line at Graceframes and Hinterberg. I want one that folds up with quilt on it. I have limited space and always have to push to get a quilt quilted to get out of way. Do you know of any that can be made to save on the price?

kitty, i can't remember the name of mine right now (i'm at work) but it's about 3 ft long and maybe 2 ft wide and the top tilts, it really doesn't take up much room, i really like it

Both Hinterberg and Grace sell the plans to make their frames at home. Good luck.

http://www.quiltingboard.com/posts/list/235.page this is the page, but there are many others. It is important to hear from those who have them and have used them. Experience is the BEST teacher. Someone else posted a photo some time ago and said her husband had made one for her. Perhaps she will show it to us again...or it is listed among the items on this page: (link to the seach for quilt frames) http://www.quiltingboard.com/jforum.page?module=search&action=search&clean=1&se arch_keywords=quily+frames&search_terms=all&search _forum=&sort_by=time&sort_dir=DESC&search_cat= |
