Quilting and glue sticks

I hear alot of people talk about using glue sticks with quilting, is there a certain kind of glue stick that is used for quilting?

i use the elmer's washable school glue stick and buy them in bulk when they are on sale at the beginning of the school year.

Ditto for me. I really enjoy PP & use the glue stick a lot in that. Sometimes just use it to hold a pesky seam out of the way. Also use Elmer's school - washable- for binding, etc

I use to use Elmer's until I tried Lapel Glue stick. It's much better. It's made just for fabric. Dress designers and tailors use it. I found it at Kmart.

In any particular department, Bellaboo? I don't get to Kmart often so am not real familiar with the store layout.

Thanks, Jan in VA

It was with the other glue sticks. I usually don't go to Kmart on purpose but was there with a friend who was looking for coloring books. I saw the Lapel sticks and bought all they had on the rack. I haven't been back to a Kmart since. It's way out of my way.
