I am thinking of joining a quilting guild. I want the exposure to new techniques and classes, shows etc and just being around others that quilt.

I have the names of 2 in southern CT/over the border in NY, but I'm thinking there must be more. I've not been successful with my google searches.

Anyone know of some in southern CT or over the border in NY? Are there pro's and con's to being in a guild? Someone was telling me about one she was in (not locally) and that she didn't like how political it was. I'm still not sure how a QGuild can be political... if you have info to share, I'd love to hear it :)
