I have a Handi-quilter frame and a janome 1600p machine to do my quilting. I plan to do free motion quilting.
It's been a long time since I have actually quilted a quilt. And since this one has to be together just right, I am pinning it together before I put it on the handi-quilter. Can I use green thread on the back, or would that look silly. I think cream or grey wouldn't look right. Sorry about the fuzzy pics. Not so steady of an arm. sure - I think a green thread would look great!

I usually use verigated threads that way they blend in better. What color are you using on the top? Green would look great on the back and if you are just getting started your wobbles won't be so noticable.

I think I'd only use green on the back if it was a really good match with the fabric. Otherwise, I'd use black or white. Just my opinion....

No matter what color I use it works better for me if the color on the top and bottom are very similar. If they are too different, it always ends up showing a little for me.

You could use the monofiliment thread (also called the invissable thread).

I think green would be great front and back. The quilt is too cute!!!

Green (or maybe blue).

Unless your tension balance is very good, you have the possibility of the top thread showing on the bottom or the bobbin thread showing on the top. Also, it sounds like this is your first quilt on your handi quilter and it also sounds like this is a special one. I don't want to be discouraging, but if this is the case, I would sure want to do at least one practice quilt before attempting a 'real' one.

I think green would be nice
